L.A. Flooring & Window Coverings is a full-service flooring and window covering company. We are not simply a retail flooring and window coverings store; rather, we are licensed contractors providing sales and installation services directly to our customers.

Our Commercial Division serves property management firms (both residential and commercial) as well as property owners and general contractors in Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura Counties. We specialize in providing prompt, reliable service at very competitive prices. Our systems are fine-tuned to the needs of property management professionals, and we understand the unique needs of multi-family and commercial properties.

Founder and President Richard Michaelsen is a Southern California native. While earning his B.A. at UCLA, Rich was employed in the real estate property management field. In the course of his employment, he soon discovered that it was difficult to find competent, reliable suppliers of flooring and window covering products who understood the unique needs of property management firms.

With the idea of providing a better solution to an underserved market, Rich pursued the appropriate two specialty contractor licenses: flooring (C-15) and window coverings (D-52). With his former employer as his first customer, Rich launched his new business, which is known today as L.A. Flooring & Window Coverings.
