Founded in 1993, L.A. Flooring & Window Coverings
is a full-service company located in Santa Monica, California.
Over the years, we've earned a reputation for providing
prompt, reliable service, as well as quality materials
at very competitive prices.

As a neighborhood company, we are committed to maintaining
personalized, one-on-one service for all our customers,
even as our business continues to expand beyond the
immediate community from which we started.
Our Team
Led by President Richard Michaelsen, our dedicated
team of experts is highly skilled in the installation
and repair of flooring and window coverings as well
as the refinishing of hardwood and concrete floors.
Our History
Founder and President Richard Michaelsen is a Southern
California native. While earning his B.A. at UCLA, Rich
was employed in the real estate property management
field. In the course of his employment, he soon discovered
that it was difficult to find competent, reliable suppliers
of flooring and window covering products who understood
the unique needs of property management firms.
With the idea of providing a better solution to an
underserved market, Rich pursued the appropriate two
specialty contractor licenses: flooring (C-15) and window
coverings (D-52). With his former employer as his first
customer, he launched his new business, which is known
today as L.A. Flooring & Window Coverings.
